The GOOD NEWS and the BAD
NEWS.
The BAD NEWS Salt Lake area ranked in the bottom 10 areas in the
country for home prices. Homes price declined 11.4% in the first quarter of 2010 compared to the same
quarter in 2009.
The
GOOD NEWS we sold 33% more
homes in the 6 months period ending March 31st than we did compared to the previous year. (4,181 home sales
compared to 3,151 sales a year ago).
What does this mean?
It's overall good news.
With less inventory the law of supply and demand will gradually drive prices higher.
Buyers: Take advantage of this fantastic market before home
prices begin to rise again. Take advantage of the short sales and bank repos while they are still
